    • Xunantunich: the tallest pyramid, the “El Castillo” is to be found here. Excavations have been taken place here for a long time and some Mayan artifacts have been discovered.
    • Lumanai: one of the most visited Mayan sites offers scenic ruins and chances of spotting numerous animals. If you are very lucky, you might even spot jaguars.
    • Altun Ha: offers the temple of the Masonry Altars which stands tall at 54 feet.
    • Caracol: it was the centre of the biggest Mayan Kingdoms and a museum is coming up soon at this place. Caracol is most visited at the time of Easter.
    • Cerros: Cerros to dates remains largely unexplored but there is proof that this site was probably the earliest Mayan sites.
